Board of Health 02-27-2024

This meeting of the Board of Health is being recorded and broadcast on the Town of Barnstable’s Government Access Channel. In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30A, Section 20, the Chair must inquire whether anyone else is recording this meeting and, if so, to please make their presence known.

Dan Ojala, Down Cape Engineering, representing Chef J LLC, owner of Villaggio Ristorante – 4631 Falmouth Road, Cotuit, Map/Parcel 024-157, 99,330 square foot parcel, requesting variances to locate the pump chamber and leaching fields on a separate lot controlled by the same owner (the two lots are assessed as one for tax purposes). They are proposing the installation of a Recirculating Sand Filter, or equivalent alternative technology, as required, along with pressure dosing of the leaching field. Property is in Zone II, permitted for 93 seats, Variance from Title V regulation, crossing property line and placing existing flow on separate adjacent vacant parcel/lot, design flow would remain at 3,255 gpd. No increase in design flow for the facility is being requested.

John O’Dea, Sullivan Engineering, representing Joseph Jenkins, owner – 195 Seapuit River Road, Osterville, Map/Parcel 070-015, 2 acre parcel, proposing the use of a NitROE Secondary Treatment Unit.
